Capers Substitute
What is a substitute for capers? If you need a capers substitute then just follow our suggestion.
Capers, which appear to be old shriveled petite green peas, add a tangy salty little burst to the sauce in which they are added. If you're out, don't completely go without. First check our caper substitution table to find a proper substitute for capers.

Capers Substitute
Amount | Substitute | |

Caper substitute | Any | Chopped up Dill Pickle spears |
Please note that a capers substitute may alter the final outcome of your recipe in either taste, texture, moisture or smell.
This substitution will add an extremely similar savory crunch, a zip of salt, and even the same touch of color to any dish calling for capers. Try substituting chopped dill pickles to softened butter for pickle compound butter, into ranch dressing for pickle buttermilk salad dressing and changing up chicken piccata (which always includes capers) to chicken pickle piccata.
